I dont think Oroville would be worth a darn in a kickboat. Its a LONG way to any decent spots from the ramps. on top of that its a 4 hour drive...

Ya read the whole thing and you`ll see statistically how hard it is to catch fish in there.

here`s a link to the fishing reports on western, this is a good place to start on locating different water and to find out how the fishing is there as well.

Oroville has some really good spots to fish out of kickboats. If you go july, aug, sept, oct, most of the time the lime saddle launch is closed to trailers, but not cartops. have been there multiple times when I got the whole launch to myself, and the no wake zone in lime saddle is a few MILES long. Heaviest weight I ever had on oroville was out of kick, 15.3lbs.........but the problem is lodging. only real close lodging to lime saddle, well there is none, except for camping, and if you are gonna drive that far to camp,

might as well go to bullards and catch toad spots. bullards bar=toad spots

how bout a 2 day dual club event with B-n-T and Scbbbc at bullards, 15-20 lb limits of spots anyone?

If we were to hit Oroville i would go with the Afterbay over the main lake. I think they call it Thermolito ?

hey guys ,looks like you guys are looking in to new water, just some ideas for you to think on , they are flooding mendo... now and will have no boat trafic in tell it gets warmer so so it would be a great lake early, catch ( them smallies and largemouth) intell june or july when all the lake lice comes out, also i know that pillsberry is a little far but has big toads in it and it warms up  an little later about a mounth later so the spawn happens alittle later so just some ideas, it looks like its going to be a rocking new schedule, hope i will be able to fish it all next year

D.J, the afterbay is cool, the fishin isn't quite as good, more largemouths in the afterbay, but you can row quicker to a lot more different lookin areas, tulies, rock, flats, where the big lake you may cover more water rowing and not fishin. yes it is called the Thermolito Afterbay. It also has a couple launches on it too, and it also has all three species of bass, but I've caught more largemouths in there than anything.

Nate

No matter what the new schedule is, i'll be there fishin, IMO, I like the idea to broaden my horizons and fish new, different water rather than fish 2-4 bodies of water all year.
