what about conta loma in antioch or pittsburgh.  BnT guys fish it and I heard there are some pigs in there as well as big stripers.

There are some hogs, but it is a small lake. Don't know if 40 kick boats would work there. Also, it is $17 to park and launch with the inspection. It's run by the water district.

personally I would like to see atleast 2 team tournaments and 2 night tournaments a year.  just my 2 cents..  I like the team tournaments because of the fact that each time we do it I make a new friend

not to fond of driving 161 miles to fish tourney out past sac... if we check in was at 4;30 - 5;00  we would haft to camp out or leave at 12;00 to make it there by check in. just my 2 cents

Thats the entire point of having it a 2-day tourney.
I'm 2-3 hrs from c.l, and 3-4 to mendo, 3 to sonoma, 3 to blue lakes .....it's not the short drive why I fish the club.....161 miles be about the average drive for some of us who come from east bay and south bay, and I have a feelin next seas there will be a few more. Come on, one long drive for you guys during the season won't hurt.

The whole leave at 12 or camp is the only option some of us have for 8 of the 10 events.

I have no problem driving to a lake that is conducive to decent KICKBOAT fishing and new lakes are great.  That said, has anyone here actually put a kickboat in Bullards Bar and fished there with any success.   My concern is that from all I have heard "second hand" and read "second hand", those Big Spots live far, far away from the launch ramp.

I have fished out of a kick there, but was met at the launch ramp with a boat for vacation....to my understanding there are only 2 ramps & my concern would be the same,on top of that we would have to be very picky of the time of year 'cause Lake Sonoma has nothing on Bullards during the summer..

I agree with Nate, i think that's spotted bass.

I live pretty much south and use to live south san jose.  Each trip is three hours for me no matter how you take it.  The shortest distance for me is berryessa but still that's about two hours.  So the south bay guys been driving 8 out 0f 10 tourney averaging 3 hours of more.  I've been doing that for 12 years with the club.  I'm down for some lakes east of us.

i am for looking to the east adn new lakes, what if the club got a group camp site for the night before/morning of the event. sure we can talk to the camp grounds and see if they are wiling to work with us. sure they would not mind some extra money.

i was goin to make a pitch for Camanche. There are 2 launch locations one north and one south. Both locations have group camp sites close to the water. I think it would be a good early year location and its only about 20 or so more miles than White Slough.

    What do ya think?

what about lake merced?

Merced has a supporter. I think its a possabilty but i think we should try a t. Shoot before we try to.add it to the schedule. There's not to many fishing reports on the place so we really dont know how fishable the place is.
