New Updated Rules, and Officers

Officers:

Vice President: Deren Kozenko
Asst.Tournament Directors: Marc Harrison & Scott Townsend

Rules:

 a. Tournament anglers must have a paid membership to receive angler of the year, tournament of champions, or any other season award points. No points will be awarded to any none members that have not first paid their Scbbbc yearly dues.

(in the past you could fish one tournament without being a member and still get points if you paid by the next tournament. This is no longer the deal. points only start when you are a paid member)

6. TOC Ties: In case of a tie in the TOC the tie breaker will be the anglers overall points first, if tied in overall points we would go to total tournaments entered in the season.

So, with the new rule and tie breakers... who gets the TOC slot? the club member who has fished more tournements? or the one who has attended them all but didnt have a better showing?

for example, minus the 2 throw outs.... if Rich Caro and I were tied in points at the end of the year .... but I scored higher on my tournements, but wasnt able to make ALL the events, but Rich fished ALL the events... he would go to the TOC and I wouldnt?

Or, if its during the TOC, and He and I tie during the 2-day TOC, then he would place ahead of me because he fished more tournements during the year?

Correct me if Im wrong, but thats how Im reading the new rule....  Just asking...

Mike-

I think the rule is just for a tiebreaker during TOC.  If two anglers in the TOC tournament don't catch a fish, the angler with the highest overall points during the season (Think AOY points, not TOC points), gets the higher placing.  In this case, it doesn't matter how many tournaments you attended, if you miss one, but have higher placings and more overall points, you get the 14th place.

Mike,

The tie breaker is for getting into the TOC. If you and another member were tied for the Final spot in the TOC standings. The tiebreaker would go to the member that had overall points for the year (total points). If still tied it would go to the member that fished the most tournaments of the two member.
