I don't  know were that is but if you like that scenary It's a must to see the beautiful land of lakes and volcanoes were my family is from. I'm talking about Nicaragua, especially Granada. 100% tropical, Lake Nicaragua is fresh water and full of one of a kind species you'll only find there. Saw Sharks, Rainbow bass(Guapote good eating) just to name a couple. Stay on your own island or you can check out the mambo tours canopy tour were you climb 200 yr old trees and ride zip lines from one to another above a coffee plantation. Night life, Fresh food and super cool folks. Many europeans go there. Just a suggestion.

Great Web Page Gunther!

You should submit your photo's to Outcast they may be encouraged to use them in next year catalog.  That would be the ultimate!

Hey
I've got an invitation to go to Rio Roosevelt in brazil next year.
fishing in the amazone basin

this kind of fish,catfish,...
I think a bellyboat is out of the question with them piranha's,crocs and all other kinds of "happy to bite you" animals.
Anyone has any experience over there?
it would be a trip with 6 to 8 men with fishingguides in small boats.
is there a small chance for floattubefishing??

It would probably be in your best interests to leave the float tube behind for the Amazon. On another note, that guy in the red OUTCAST float tube is in the '10 catalog with a huge tarpon.

The tarpon fishing footage LOOKED like the south (pacific) side of the panama Canal, Lake Gatun to be exact ... I was there in '99. I fished for peacock bass, never jumped a tarpon ... Just my 2 cents. Looked like panama

Gunther

I came across your blog several months before I found the SCCBB Club website and I believe I've posted a picture from you as well as a comment.  And I would loved to say with the SCCBB Men you can't go wrong.

Tell you what Gunther, let's coordinate a fishing excursion with these guys next spring or let me know what your schedule looks like and I will join you in California.

Thank you for sharing the pics! That looks like it would put up a crazy fight from a float tube!
