I think most of us know. It only takes one time when you set the hook after forgetting to tighten them all down in the morning and you lose that morning toad that you relize it just isn`t worth the trouble.

Ive heard that too. But it sure does make it hard to keep your line tight when you store your rods though.

The interesting thing about the loosing the drag deal is I've never really done it in all my years of fishing and have NEVER had a problem. I've only had issues like Bill when I actually did loosen my drag and forgot to tighten. Never again for me!

I think it is probably a good thing to do but depending on the drag material there really should be too much of a problem when you're dealing with non-cloth type drag washers. The metal and carbon drag washers should be able to take the type of pressure (only a couple pounds on the washers themselves) applied to them without warping (which would be the cause of loss of pressure).

Let me know if I'm way off basis here but it has worked for me!

Ouch! wins hurt!   I know that your Zebco catches hogs for you Scotty! That was %100 just kiddin ya.  Its rare that I weigh a limit in a tourney, Ive got no room to say ANYTHING.  See ya next weekend.
