Ok there is a little negativity going on the boards and I think its LAME!!!! So I figured we could lighten it up a little....

Just for sh!ts and giggles....

I was ondering what your PB is, where caught, on what, time of year!!

Mine was March last yr. A lucky craft rip bait, at Clear Lake and she was just shy of a 10#. Man if she would have ate a crawdad or a bluegill 5 minutes before I caught her I would have a 10 to my name!

I dont know but I just wanted to bring a topic up that noone and argue, call names, disagree or anything else like that. Just a topic that people could come and brag about their PB bass!!!!

I've had the misfortune of not having a scale with me several times when I've caught PB size fish. So these weights are estimated. But I had a 10+ from the Windsor Ponds a several years ago on a 9X Senko. You where there.
Last year I had a 9+ eat a clown pattern Rattlin Rogue up in Brush Creek at Lake Sonoma.

So how 'bout that ride, Deacon? Are we gonna fish or what?

Yep sorry for causing a little havoc on here it was just my opinion. my p.b. would of gone im sure 13 probably 13.5 i got her out of spring lake a couple years back, i got her on a bed it only took her an hour to finally pick up my senko and run with it. I got at least 10 double digits out of spring lake that's why i like fishing it your average fish you will catch there will be at least 3 pounds. maybe not 10 d.d. at spring but more like a hand full

well, i've only mustered up a 5.7 lb. being new to fishing and fishing in Oregon 9 months of the year (where a 5.7 will win BF in a tourny 99% of the time) I have yet to do better than 6 lb. Caught it on my friends farm pond in southern oregon on a 5 1/2 inch green/brown roboworm. In cali I pulled out a 5.2 on a rapala shad rap in the first of the Windsor Ponds at riverfront.

but my biggest fish is about 45lb....them humbolt squid

Unfortunately mine was also when I didn't have a scale but took some line, cut it off and found out it was 24" with a 20" girth! The head and shoulders were huge also and it didn't fit in my fish basket (similar to the one I let Dominic borrow). Sonoma in April of '96 I believe. #2 was last year at Clear and won BF in an Angler's Choice tournament and weighed 9.06 lbs.

Thanks DK for the post.

Todd

i believe if you go length x girth then either divide it by 500 or 800 that will give you the aprox. weight

My First big fish 8.7lb was on a baby brushhog in the middle of June 1998.
I had just started to use a bait casting reel. I had casted in to a bush in 10ft of water Making a hug birds nest after i had just casted out. Once had finally finished pulling out about 20 yards of line I engaged the reel to find out all of the extra line had been picked up. The fish had swam strait under neath me in my tube it to deep water. I set the hook and Fish on.

The big girl came in the middle of October. 11.25 lbs.
I had just go into the water and was setting every thing up with my rods. Made my second cast of the day. 7# shad wrap. She crushed it as it was going into deeper water. I was thoughing this on a spinning rod 10# test. She ran right into an area filled with weeds and deep water. I followed right behind her pulling weeds of my line and kicking as fast as I could to catch up. Finally I catch up to this hug ball of weeds that has a steady thump of the her tail going on. Pull off the weeds and she goes straight down again. This time she head for the deep open water. After just a minute I'm hauling this hug fish over the side of my boat. I put her on the scale 11.25. This fish was 31 in Long. I could not be live what I was seeing. When I picked her up my hand sank into her belly as if it where some old lady fat arm. Just a bunch of loose skin hanging there.

Both of these fish came from the same lake. I have had seval other fish that where in the DD class from this same lake. It would be our locally fames lake.

Two years ago Rich and a bunch of the guys where having a Turkey shot out there and I had caught a hug fish out there. I was kicking around with the fish just to have here pop off of the stringer. I almost started fell apart. No one had see her. I was knew to the club. I felt so bad I had to call it a day.
