The only way to get to Kent Lake is to be ready for a hike. You can go there in two ways.
The easier way of the two is to find the pull out off of Sir Francis Drake and park your car there. Then you have to walk up to the dam, which is mostly uphill. Then from the dam you can either fish the left side, which is probably better since you can find more areas to fish. Some people go to the right side of the dam, but there is not much going on there. The other way to get there is to park at the Bon Tempe dam and take the fire road to the other end of Kent Lake. If you have a mountain bike with you, then you can probably get to this section of the lake in about 30 minutes (you do the calculation if you were walking). Some people ask why the hell would anyone try to go to this area. Well, because of the lonk trek in, this area of the lake does not get very much pressure. Therefore, many times people are rewarded for their trek (i have not gone this way yet since I refuse to walk this far in hopes of getting a bite. I would want to kill myself if I went this far and got skunked). So far it seems the flipping jigs, swim jigs, and of course the swimbait bite has been going good. Do be careful as some of the areas are steep and there have been reports of people falling into the lake. I hope that covers it all for you. Have fun out there and bring your hiking shoes and some lunch.
Eh, if can..can. No can...no can.
