I used to live in Woodacre a long time ago ... Kent Lake was cool. Nicasio Resvoir was the bomb for carp. When it dried up in '77, we would walk all the way to the dam and club carp. Bon Tempe was always good. I would love to go back to Kent sometime ... A great place for kids is the Cheese Factory out towards Nicasio ...

Crankbaitmaster ... cant you ever write something without showing your lack of intelligence? And before you say Im not a member of the club this year ... Well, I work weekends and wednesday nights, so I cant make the meetings or the tournements ... but aside from 2 tours in Iraq ad 1 to Kosovo, I've been a member since 2001 ..

The Cheese Factory and Stafford were my other two choices that I would have said for the kids. I take my kids to these two places all the time. They really love it, and no hiking for them to do.

If any of you are interested, the Marin Bass Club is having a clean up day at Stafford Lake this Saturday (June 27th) from 9-12:30. Parking is free if you are participating in the clean up. We are also providing lunch to everyone that comes out (hot dogs, chips, drinks, and maybe some salad). We are also using this time to promote fishing to the kids. The community has been invited as well to come on out and support one of our lakes that really needs the support.

Let me know if anyone needs more information on this day.

Im just saying i rather be a cannibal then some one who kills innocent animals specially pretty ones like ducks, geese, deer, elk and so forth.  I feel for people that live in the cuts and thats what they live off but not your recreational hunter that doesn't need the meat and just do it for fun.  Im a paid member but only to get the kick ass deal on a Bucksbag kickboat

Bojo makes a great point, the french cheese factory in hicks valley is a great place to take your kids. Although the last time I was out there with my little cousins I didn't get a bite. I assume there are still fish in there, when I was growing up I used to go out there all the time and catch hundreds of bluegill. tons of fun for the kids.

Crank, if you feel so strongly about harming innocent animals for the fun of it, is fishing really the sport to be involved with? I am sure you have never harmed a bass for the fun of it and I am willing to bet you eat every fish you harm.... By the way have you ever spent a day in a slaughter house? When it comes to being humane I would have to say that hunters are by far more humane then the people who supply your grocery store meat. That is the last word on this subject. There is no use in arguing with an extremist like yourself and it is not fair to hijack a legitimate thread. thank you.

Crankbait,  So just making things clear.  You don't eat meat of any sort???

Just for the record.  I would rather be a Deer and have some guy shoot me.  Than a cow in a stall when a guy with an air hammer comes to end my life.

The second thing is the meat from all most all wild animals is much healthier than any domestic animal..

Headed up to Bon Tempe and Alpine yesterday. Buddy caught a good almost 4lber at Alpine on a shaky head and I managed a barely legal Smallmouth out of Bon Tempe on a jig. There's smallmouth in Bon Tempe?
