Guess what, they didnt just start! fish turn off for a bit right after dark on every lake Ive ever been on. We can skip that time period and hit the water...they'll be chewin the entire duration of the tourney. Maybe I just like good fishing a bit more than sleep or convenience.

If there is such a problem with this, why not make a fuss when the schedule was posted 6 months ago?

Stilts, the times weren`t posted on the schedule. Not only that but people that have to work during the week get to go home from work get there stuff ready and then fish untill the next day?Thats just to much dude think about it.When I saw the day I personally thought we would vote on times for a sat.night tournie not a sat am tournie and I`m sure more than 90% of the members thought the same since thats how it has been done in the past. The team tournie thing I overlooked since that has just been common sense from day one since the club has had night tournies.

It was posted somewhere along the way cause most have known and there has been discussion at the previous 2 tournies of this exact shiat, as you would say. Im pretty sure it was posted before Noah weighed his giant at Berryessa even. Maybe our webmaster "forgot" to put it on the link.

I work til 10pm that friday night and Im looking forward to it. yssups. :funny

I cant make the meeting anyway, and honestly wouldnt care so much except I got A's tickets with acouple buddies for that night when this tourney is gonna be moved to  and Ive already flaked once this season on them. :funny

I could less about the time that we fish. I am bummed out that this isnt a "team" tourney anymore. My Dad whom some of you know NEVER competes and even he was interested in coming out this one because of the team format.

Why did you guys make Highland springs team tourney instead. I bet some f you were hoping good old Revrat was going to show for that one....Highland is going t obe tough no matter what. Just curious why the team thing for that one?

I think that the change is great! It keeps you on your toes. Thanks big time Steve for something fresh. These boneheads just can't handle change. The meeting is still great to hear the past results and reports. It's great to have the raffle and for guys to get a chance to talk off the water.

I'm ready for 2 to 8 and thats what I have scedualed for already so I sure hope you guys nut up and keep it they way you set it. I'm glad it's not a team event for a change. Now I'll have to really get in and kick some bass at my favorite place in the world to fish.

Yea baby

Wow bonehead eh?Change is great if its for the better not just to change you sack licker. Stilts you missed the giants a`s series so there`s no a`s games worth seeing and rich i know you probably had plans to hit the skin flute festival sat night but you can catch it again next year.

Damn, I've been missing some pretty good threads going on here!

I just can't make it due to being so far away. I didn't pay attention to the times until Doug brought it up at the Delta tourney. I ended up making plans a couple months ago to do some volunteer work Friday evening so I wouldn't even be able to get back to MY house until 10 pm or so.

I'm fine with the non-team event. I usually do well there at night (except for 2 of the last 3 years) and can tell you those times do get some big bites! I used to do it a ton when I was in my late teens and early 20's but that is a LOOOOOOOONG time ago!

Good luck guys who can make it! I'll probably just hit the Delta that morning.

Todd

Realize I am the FNG, but I have been really looking forward to this one.  I even moved my family vacation back in February around the early Saturday morning time, so that we could hit the road "Vacation Style" on Sunday.  I for one, hope we keep it at that time as if we move it to Saturday night/Sunday morning, I would be out now.

I guess that is my vote.

I would say the time is fine but i would like to see it not after a work day.I know the schedule said 7/11/09 but who would have known the time frame was from 2am to 8am?Thats fine but like I said its a little tough especially for the old guys to work at least 8hrs go home and eat and then fish until the next day.The team tourney issue is basically a safety factor because its a night tourney and its a big lake.I know we don`t always fish next to each other but we at least keep in contact with one another my phone or in the case of sonoma by radio.I know I haven`t fished any tourneys this year so your probably thinking why do I care?I was thinking of  going for second half points since none of the next tourney dates coincide with football.Anyways I`ll be at the meeting.

I was thinking the same thing Bill....I have to work all day on Sat(trying to make some extra cash) and again I dont have a problem with the fact of the times. I also thougth that the "team" format has always been a good idea for the night tourney. For quite a few reasons, Safety being the #1 reason.  I guess it doesnt matter since the officers voted it this way.......

Rich you mentioned that change is a good thing and I agree 100% with that but I dont agree if it for 1. it isnt voted on and for 2. doesnt benefit the club as whole. Change is good but I guess I "assumed" that night tourney was a team thing because that is what it has been for as far back as I can remember....

Oh well.

Yeah, Bill, I was kind of thinking of going after 2nd half points since my little one is a little older but it's all good. I haven't got a fish over 7 lbs on the Delta yet so I'm going to try to get a 8+ this year. Besides, just fun getting fish on frogs and wake baits!

Can't wait to hear how the meeting goes!

LOL. Yea baby, Billy boy, you are killing me,  Sack licker, does that mean my 24 pound sack of bass licker? Hey Bill, was that you again in the rose parade? Playing the male organ, LOL,

I wish I had taken some pictures from the last all nighter with two weigh-ins at Yorty. I'm sure that some of you will remember that one. A group of focused anglers started the event and by the last weigh-in at sunrise there was a beach of Zombies, White Zombies.

You guys are pretty funny! I personally have no problem with the times hopefully we get everyone there early so we can blast off a little early! Can we get in the gate around midnight and hang out? I am disappointed the tournament was scheduled the same weekend as the BNT Beacon Harbor Open. A bunch of us fish that every year and it's a great kickboat tournament I'm sorry i have to miss. But this should be fun in the dark also....I'll be spot lighting everyone so beware....lol

OK first off i posted this on 12/22/08

Alright guys and gals the officers met last night at round table and came up with a very cool schedule for whats going to be another fun year of fishing with the biggest and baddest kick boat club in the nation. so here it is.

FEBRUARY            7         LAKE BERRYESSA      PUBLIC LAUNCH,CAPEL COVE

MARCH               7         CLEAR LAKE              LAUNCH TBD

APRIL                  4          DELTA   (TEAM)       BEACON HARBOR

MAY                    2 &3    BNT CLEAR LAKE OPEN       M&M CAMPGROUND

JUNE                   13      DELTA                       LAUNCH TBD

JULY                    11     SONOMA (NIGHT) (2AM -8AM)     YORTY CREEK

AUGIST                22     HIGHLAND SPRINGS (TEAM)          PUBLIC LAUNCH

SEPTEMBER        26     CLEAR LAKE                                     LAUNCH TBD

OCTOBER             17&18   CLEAR LAKE (SCBBBC STATE CLASSIC) STATE PARK

NONVEMBER     7         BLUE LAKES                                     PULLOUT

NOVEMBER        21&22   CLEAR LAKE (SCBBBC TOC)          SKYLARK MOTEL

ALL TBD LAUNCH SITES WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE, PENDING APROVEL FOR RUNNING PERMIT AT CLEAR LAKE AND LOCATION FOR THE DELTA.

bottom line the times and format are set. the times were voted on by all the officers. the reason for the meetings is to get together and meet new people, and for the raffle. i don't know about all of you guys but I'm tired of eating the same bag of chips every year, if you know what i mean. as far as safety, no one ever stays with there partner anyway and we always fish near someone, yorty is not that big. and please by all means be at the December meeting so you can nominate yourselves to become officers and run it the way you want. see you all at the meeting !
