Did you look under the boat? Did you see a brass all thread?
How about using a pair of hoseclamps? Depending upon the rail size, you might be able to get a threaded coupler and cut it longwise so that it fits over the rail. The hoseclamps would hold it in place. Alternatively, you could take a piece of threaded pvc pipe about 4" long and put a 90 degree elbow on it. Use a couple of zip ties or hose clamps to secure it to your rail and then put another piece of pvc onto the elbow to hold your transducer.
Look at Walts 3rd pic. Right where that little yellow thing is, if you drill a hole in the pipe to run the brass bolt through, it will then rotate left to right to pull it up out of the water.
