Did you guys find many fish in the tulle island in front of Beacon? I found out it is NOT off limits for my tournament this weekend and thought if there were some good fish to be caught...

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Todd

Todd the bass were on the island and not much outside....That little island your talking about has not been good for awhile now for some reason...at least to me...I used to catch lots of fish there but the last 2 or 3 times nothing....They seem to just be on the island behind docks and such....

There where fish in the tullis on the track. The big females weren't there yet when we were there, but the males were. That place should be on big time by this weekend. Go get em Todd. I hear the wake bait bite in the morning is off the hook.

Awesome info guys! I know there were a bunch in the Tract but it will really depend on the wind. The big girls were all in a little deeper water out there (this past weekend) but the wind started early so we couldn't search very long. We found plenty of smaller males (to almost 3 lbs) deep in the tulles but no good ones we're going to need.

Behind the docks might be worth spending a little time on Sunday.

Really appreciate it!

Todd

Todd,
Back sides of larger boat housing w/ sheet metal siding. Was reflecting more heat into water on beds. Saw my best fish there and caught a few. Real spooky then tho. Wacky dropshot or sculpins. Saw sculpins on sandy shores north. Halfway up boat dock to shores and especially behind boat housing if u can fit.  My fish caught south. Fished tules on island for 2-3hrs and wasted time with no bites. Hope that helped.

Todd-

I filled out my limit on the little island in front of beacon on the south facing side and out of the main current.  I found fish off the edge of the grass dropoff in about 10 ft dropshotting in the afternoon on outgoing tide.  All 1.5 to 2 lbers, but worth a try if your desperate to fill out a limit.

Thanks guys for all the info! I never ended up fishing there as we ran out of trolling motor juice by the time we headed back. Can you believe it is now MUDDY there?!? With all the wind the delta has had it created chocolate milk.

We ended in 19th out of 87 boats...1 out of the money!

Only 13.43 but had a nice 5.74. It was a brutal day...windy ALL day. 12 boats skunked and another 37 didn't fill their limit. To top it off I had a homeowner in Disco threaten to get his gun if we didn't stop fishing "his" backyard. Whatever loser!

Man sooooo close Todd! Still not a bad day with a field like that. What is it with delta home and boat owners being a pain in the arse lately? Have they always been this way or have they recently gotten a bug up their butts?

AC, they have always been this way! I've had my fair share of arguments with people on Clear Lake as well. Thankfully I've been lucky and haven't had too many incidents lately...too bad this ruined it

Oh, here's something the guys on Westernbass grabbed for me. We should all keep a copy on the water. There is also something supposedly out there relating to fishing and hunting but I haven't had a chance to find it yet.

CA Penal Code 422.  Any person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which
will result in death or great bodily injury to another person, with
the specific intent that the statement, made verbally, in writing, or
by means of an electronic communication device, is to be taken as a
threat, even if there is no intent of actually carrying it out,
which, on its face and under the circumstances in which it is made,
is so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate, and specific as to
convey to the person threatened, a gravity of purpose and an
immediate prospect of execution of the threat, and thereby causes
that person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own
safety or for his or her immediate family's safety, shall be punished
by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or by
imprisonment in the state prison.
For the purposes of this section, "immediate family" means any
spouse, whether by marriage or not, parent, child, any person related
by consanguinity or affinity within the second degree, or any other
person who regularly resides in the household, or who, within the
prior six months, regularly resided in the household.
"Electronic communication device" includes, but is not limited to,
telephones, cellular telephones, computers, video recorders, fax
machines, or pagers. "Electronic communication" has the same meaning
as the term defined in Subsection 12 of Section 2510 of Title 18 of
the United States Code.
