Carlene & I decided on a day trip yesterday out since the weather was so sunny. We went to Chaparral Cove, which has been renamed Putah Creek Cove. Of course I took the boat along too.
The lake level has dropped to about the end of the launch ramp. CAUTION the ramp end is very mossy and VERY slick. Rowing about up into Pope Canyon (just around the bend of the campground) had no shoreline cover, just rock.
Rowing toward the Putah Creek bridge (never got to the pilings because of a bass boat) showed the same, only rock to the water line. Water temp was 54 degrees, even over 40 foot depths and only about 2 feet visibility.
I only graphed 2 fish the whole time. And they are still there, no bites.
My shoulders were toast from rowing!
