First I would like to thank the officers for putting on this great tourney.
This tourney was definitely a tough one, especially for the delta. I started the day throwing a top water with no blow ups, swirls, or nothing, so i then picked up the reaction baits ant got ticked a few times but nothing was willing to work for me so i started thinking about it and i decided to pick up my drop shot rod. A few months ago i was fishing the pro teen with a guy and he said when it gets tough on the delta don't be afraid to drop shot big worms. So that's what i did, i picked up the drop shot with a zoom trick worm in green pumpkin magic. Second cast with that i get a bite behind a dock and boom!! 6 lb bass in the boat. I go another hour or two with out a fish and so I'm determined to find the fish. i get to a dock and after a few casts i stick another fish, 2 in the well. I'm stoked!! and there are people watching me from the house next to me so i make a few more casts into that dock and i get another on that drop shot, 3rd in the well. Its about an hour till weigh in and i tell myself i need to get one mere fish if i want to be in the money so i get behind a dock and stick my fourth and final keeper. I wasn't expecting the day to be so ruff, but i stuck through it and fought through the end.
