    Sponsored KBBC Shirt.
WOW, thats great! Those shirts cost some bucks to have made. You guys have the write idea for promoting your organization and it looks very inviting to sponsors. How many of you guys are wearing those shirts at your weigh-in's ? Do those sponsors names on your shirt actually sponsor your organization and if so in what way? The sponsors on my shirt kick down product once a year for our big shing ding, The SCBBBC State Classic. We raffle off the product and spread the work of the quality of there produc5t. It's also all product I use and buy through out the year.

Sorry Dom. Spring Lake just hasn't been cutting it for me. It feels like the girl who has been around way to much and put away wet. Fountain Grove kind of feels the same way for me. Road hard and, well you know the rest. I'm saving it all up for three days on Clear Lake for the State Classic. If you guys have it I might come up with the dog and check out the weigh-in.

Now if it was Saturday from 7 to noon. I would be a little more interested, but Spring Lake just bores the heck out of me. I like to go there when I haven't been on the water in a while and enjoy a Cigar and try to catch one small fish.

The Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Clubs 20th State Classic
It's that time of year again when the leaves start to fall and the Halloween stuff is going up. The Pumpkins are ready to be picked and bags of candy are filling the shelves at your local stores. It's also the time of year the bass at Clear Lake go on a feeding frenzy for float tubers and kick boaters who fish the SCBBBC State Classic. This event at one time was called the Jimmy Reese Invitational and yes Sir, Jimmy Reese put it on. The first ones were held behind the back stop at the Lake Port High school. Some guys even camped there. It averaged 10 to 15 guys and it was the first two day event for the club. He then moved it to the Malard House Resort and he would have two weigh-ins on Saturday. When you came in for your first Saturday weigh-in, he had a BBQ going. Mike Peirce would be cooking up dogs and burgers. You came in, weighed your fish and ran them off the end of the dock for release. You then grabbed some food and off you went back to your secret spots.

These were the good old days back then. We all had round tubes and we ran to more then one spot and the limit was 5 fish. Even back then we didn't have many dead fish. Times have changed a lot over the years and now these are the good old days that you'll all look back on 10 years from now. I would have never thought that 26 years ago I would still be fishing with a bunch of guys in float tubes/Kick boat. It's one of those things that I just can't get enough of. The sunrises on the water and the unknown before the first cast in the we hours of the morning. I always know that one lucky SCBBBC member is going to have a day he won't soon forget. Last weekend it was AC, and I bet Randy the Kidd hasn't forgot about his day at Whites Slough yet. I bet it still feels as if it happened just yesterday.

For those who will be fishing there first State Classic, be prepared for all weather and most of all be ready to fish and catch fish and have fun.

I'm with Trev on this one. I like sound when the water isn't clear. It help the fish find the bait I think. No rattle when fishing clear, but I will change that every so often just to try to fish out of the box.

Sound travels 1,087 feet per second through air and 4,717 feet per second through water. This is almost a mile per second.

Now I know why Highland Springs shuts down after 35 float tubers launch. Hmmm
