In no particular order....

lake sonoma (running option)
blue lakes
clear lake (running option)
highland springs
spring lake
clear lake for the classic

just because some of the lakes are small, doesnt mean there arent fish, it just means that we all have to bring our A-game ...

Nah it does not have to be rain. I won a tourney up there last year and it was 108 and not a cloud in the sky, so the weather does not matter to me just the lake

To this date I have never been to highlands, but the results seem to be a bit better than blue lakes. Blue Lakes is a bit small IMO.

Why not throw in the Marina area as part of Lake Sonoma? and not have people crammed into Yorty.

Id love to fish Pillsbury but it doesnt set up well for a kickboat tourny. Long drive, bad road. Not a good idea.

Blue lakes and highland are too small now.

I think 1/2 the schedule should be Clearlake. Weve got the killer running permitand it usually makes for the most fun tourneys.

February - BERRYESSA  berryessa or sonoma usually kick it off and should, they have better fishin than a lot of places that early in the year.

March - CLEARLAKE  going anywhere other than Clearlake and the Delta mar, apr and May is crazy to me.

April - DELTA

June - MENDOCINO could be a good lake, especially with a scale at the north and south ramps. Before July and the 6 hr cutoff would be best, lots of early morning skiers out there and the afternoons are ridiculous in the summer.

July - DELTA

August - CLEARLAKE, NIGHT- lets get off the July night thing, it hasnt been very good.

September - SONOMA - use both ramps and spread it out.

November - CLEARLAKE i think it would be cool to settle the AOY and TOC races with the running permit in effect.

NO DRAW TEAM TOURNIES IN 2011!!! many reasons for this.

Although I didn't fish with you guys this year these are my thoughts:

I know what it is like to be on Spring Lake with 30 boats or Highland with 35. I will and have been ok with it as I usually come out pretty decent but it is pretty weak when I see 10-15 anglers off the water with 2-3 hours to go because they are frustrated with just fishing "used" water. For those who have not fished a tournament out there at these smaller lakes with that many people, you would be in for a surprise to realize how tough things get so quickly. Blue Lakes has been tough for many because of this!

Again, I don't carry as much weight as I have not fished with you guys much these last few years but from my personal experience as a participant along with officer, I think it is ludicrous to even consider these smaller lakes.

Not sure why people are so against Yorty Creek. If you're willing to row a little you have Cherry and Brush Creek just 20 minutes away! I don't think there has ever been a tourney (correct me if I'm wrong) that has been won from the dam!

So, to summarize:

Feb - Berry/Sonoma - I would say Delta but can be absolutely brutal
Mar - Clear or Delta - with a little warm weather - bite can be crazy
Apr - Berry/Delta - Berry - Cranking - Delta spawn!
May - Clear - can be one of the best times of year anyway!
Jun - Delta - not Clear as the post spawn bite hurts a lot of guys
July - Delta or Clear - either or can be great - lean towards clear for most of you guys that are more local
Aug - Delta - one of the best times of year for almost everything
Sep - Delta - see Aug
Oct - Clear - wouldn't change this!
Nov - Clear Lake - just too good this time of year
TOC - Highland/Clear - same reasons as D mentioned. Highland great since you have a small crowd!

I would be up for trying Pillsbury.  I have never fished there.  Sonoma night is cool.  Everything else is ok with me.  I would like to see if we could somehow schedule a tournament just before the 6 hour cutoff and then have  a little longer break so we only have two 6 hour tournaments.  I miss Higland but fishing both lakes at blue was cool.
